About the Role
ECOM Cameroon Commodities is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Finance Manager to oversee the financial management and reporting activities of the business in Cameroon.
The Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring sound financial controls, accurate and timely reporting, compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations, and effective financial planning. The role will report to both the Finance Controller and Country Director, working closely with management and other departments to support informed business decision-making.
We are looking for a bilingual candidate who is fluent in both English and French, both verbally and in writing.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day finance and accounting activities of the company.
Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Monitor cash flow, working capital, receivables, payables, and overall financial performance.
Ensure compliance with company financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Review financial transactions and ensure appropriate documentation and approvals.
Monitor expenditure against approved budgets and investigate significant variances.
Coordinate statutory and tax compliance requirements.
Support internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
Provide financial analysis and recommendations to the Country Director and Finance Controller.
Supervise, coach, and develop finance team members.
Ensure accurate maintenance of accounting records and financial documentation.
Collaborate with operational teams to improve financial efficiency and cost management.
Ensure compliance with applicable OHADA accounting requirements and local financial regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent is an advantage.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting.
Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, cash-flow management, and internal controls.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management.
Knowledge of OHADA accounting standards is an advantage.
Experience working in a multinational, commodities, agricultural, or trading environment is an advantage.
Strong Microsoft Excel and financial reporting skills.
Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Must be bilingual and fluent in both English and French, both verbally and in writing.
