Position Summary:
The Traceability Support Officer will assist the activities of coordinating the continuous
implementation of traceability at the field level, port level and back-office. We are looking for
someone significantly with innovative skills to work on different datasets - cleaning, alignment,
verification, and processing for the traceability team and operations at large. The role will
require constant communication with the field operatives, port team and back office team to
ensure efficient and effective data consistency and accuracy for stakeholders’ usage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure alignment of registered farmers’ data on the SMSi system with corresponding
society, community, and Purchasing Clerk (PC) records on the Empower platform to
maintain data accuracy and consistency.
Coordinate the preparation, printing, and timely distribution of Society Traceable
Details Reports (STDR) across all program districts to support field operations and
traceability requirements.
Provide active support for GCTS and EUDR compliance by maintaining and updating
required documentation in line with regulatory and program standards.
Oversee daily and weekly reconciliation of physical farmer transaction records with
their corresponding digital entries to guarantee transparency and data reliability.
Monitor, streamline, and standardize documentation processes for farmer deliveries
across all certified and verified districts to enhance traceability and operational
efficiency.
Conduct dataset verification to support premium payments, Digital Premium Payment
(DPP) datasets, and other critical program records, ensuring accuracy and
accountability.
Provide backstopping support to the Backoffice Traceability Officer by assisting with
key tasks and filling operational gaps when necessary.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen overall traceability
systems, foster compliance, and drive continuous improvement in data management
practices.
QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
● Bachelor’s Degree
● Working experience in the cocoa industry – basic traceability concept
● Strong IT skills (MS Office Suite)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY
● A very strong IT background is required. Advance knowledge in Excel, Word &
PowerPoint
● Excellent Analytical ability and skills in problem solving
● Ability to coordinate programs, prepare reports and maintain accurate records
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT
● Must be on 24 hour call
● Willingness to work on weekends and Holidays
