Administrative Officer (Kano)
JOB SUMMARY:
The Administrative Officer is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse and office administration, as well as providing administrative support at the Dawanau, Kano State branch. This role ensures organizational efficiency by managing budgets for office supplies, coordinating logistics and travel, and supporting human resources functions. Key accountabilities also include maintaining site security, enforcing safety protocols, and managing meticulous records of organizational assets, such as diesel stock and vehicle maintenance
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage general administrative tasks and office operations.
Maintain and track the monthly budget for stationery and office supplies.
Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
Handle correspondence, documentation, and filing systems.
Liaise with vendors, service providers, and internal departments.
Support HR functions such as attendance tracking, onboarding, offboarding, training, and company events.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Ensure that all visitors, contractors, and drivers comply with established security protocols, including name registration and tag usage.
Assist in enforcing warehouse/office safety and security procedures.
Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing diesel stock.
Prepare and submit weekly reports on maintenance and repairs of vehicles, generators, and other organizational assets.
Any other assigned relevant job duties.
QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:
HND or B.Sc in Business Administration, Public Administration, Office Technology and Management (OTM), or a related management discipline.
Certification in Office Administration or Management is an added advantage.
3–5 years of cognate experience in an administrative or clerical role.
Relevant experience in the agricultural or manufacturing sector is an added advantage.
Organization, multitasking, and time-management skills to handle diverse tasks.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite (specifically Word and Excel for documenting and reporting).
